Description

W & T Offshore had a platform fire in the gulf causing three to be evacuated. The accident occurred 29 miles from shore south of Terrabone Parish. The platform is in approximately 120 feet of water and had a release of 600 yards by 0.5 miles sheen. The fire was extinguished at 11:35am and under control with in 4 hours. The fire was aparently caused by a leaking connection. One person has minor injuries.
